New Product Influenza A And Influenza B Detection Kit

  • Intended Use
The influenza A/B Antigen Test Kit (Immuno-chromatography assay) is an in vitro immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of influenza A/B antigen in nasal swabs or pharyngeal swab specimens collected from patients with signs and symptoms of respiratory infection. This test is intended for use as an aid in the differential diagnosis of influenza A/B viral infections in humans in conjunction with clinical and epidemiological risk factors.
    Test Principle
This kit uses the principle of immuno-chromatography technology to detect the IFA/IFB antigen in a specimen using the double antibody sandwich method.

While testing, the specimen contains the IFA/IFB antigen and the concentration is higher than or equal to the minimum detection limit, the antigen reacts with the antibody to form a complex, and the IFA/IFB is coated in the detection area (T).

The antibody is captured and a red reaction line is formed. The result is judged as positive; otherwise, the result without a red line formed in T is judged as negative. Under normal testing conditions, the quality control area (C) should be colored to indicate that the test is valid.
OPERATION
Note: Carefully read and follow the user manual before testing.

  1.  Preparation
Take out the cartridges and samples and equilibrate them to room temperature. It is highly recommended that equilibrate the cartridge to room temperature before tearing the pouch open. Open the cover of the extraction tube and let it stand vertically for later use.
  2.  Sample Collection
    – Nasal Swab Collection: the swab should be inserted into the nasal cavity in the direction perpendicular to the nose when resistance is encountered. Make sure the swab reaches the posterior nasopharynx and keeps it in the nose for 15~30 seconds, then gently rotate the swab 3~4 times. Take out the swab carefully.
    – Pharyngeal Swab Collection: the swab should be inserted into the throat from the mouth, gently and quickly wipe the palatal arch, posterior pharyngeal wall, and tonsil on both sides 3~4 times, and collect secretions.
  3.  Antigen Extraction
Put the swab(sampled from Step 2) into the extraction tube, and rotate it close to the inner wall of the tube 10~15 times. Break the swab at the lower break point, and take the cap to seal the extraction tube. Let the swab soak into the buffer for 5 minutes with constant shaking or squeeze the wall of the extraction tube. The sample is ready for use.
  4.  Sampling
Open the aluminum pouch and take out the test cartridge, and put the cartridge on the bench horizontally. Adding 3~4 drops (100uL) of specimen extraction to the S well. Setting the timer for 15 minutes.
